Dr. Ivan Velazquez

At the heart of our practice is a simple belief: eye care should be personal, professional, and empowering. Led by Dr. Ivan Velazquez, a Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist with over a decade of experience, we’re committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care at every step of your visual journey.

A native of Sugar Land, Dr. Velazquez earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Houston before receiving his Doctor of Optometry degree from the InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico. During his training, he completed internships across Puerto Rico and externships at renowned practices in Connecticut and Houston, gaining advanced clinical experience in cataract and LASIK co-management, pediatric care, and medical eye services. He also trained with Ophthalmic Consultants of Connecticut, where he worked alongside leading specialists in complex eye conditions and surgical care.

Dr. Velazquez is deeply passionate about comprehensive and medical eye care, offering expertise in glaucoma and myopia management, dry eye treatment, and pre- and post-operative care for refractive and cataract surgery.

Dr. Velazquez is a proud member of the American Optometric Association and the Texas Optometric Association. When he’s not caring for patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children.
